Our C0 course details the understanding of:
-
Safe operation of a slewing crane up to 60 tonnes, including luffing, slewing, and hoisting loads.

Interpreting lift plans, load charts, and technical documentation to determine appropriate crane configuration

Conducting pre-start and post-operational checks, setting up and stabilising the crane, calculating ground pressures, determining safe positioning and performing complex lifting, slewing, and luffing manoeuvres.

Understanding and using manufacturer specifications and load charts to determine crane capacity and configuration.

Applying mathematical procedures to estimate loads and determine safe working capacities.

Ensuring lifts remain within the crane’s derated Working Load Limit (WLL) and continuously monitoring crane movements.

Identifying site hazards, implementing safety measures and emergency procedures, and complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.

Using, interpreting, and coordinating with doggers and/or riggers through standardised whistle signals/ hand signals and two-way radios

Securing the crane, stowing equipment, and packing up the boom and lifting gear following specific, safe site procedures.
Assessment and Licensing
- Assessments: Includes written theory, calculation tests, and practical hands-on tests.
- Licence: Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0020 and a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (NSA) email for your SafeWork NSW High Risk Work Licence.
- Once you receive your NSA, you have 60 days to obtain your SafeWork NSW Licence.
- Requirements: Must be 18+ years old, have adequate English literacy/numeracy, and have appropriate PPE (hard hat, steel cap boots, hi-vis).
